We acquired Esperion Therapeutics, Inc. (Esperion) in February 2004. The
acquisition was accounted for as a purchase. Esperion is a biopharmaceutical
company focused on the development of high density lipoprotein (HDL)-targeted
("good cholesterol") therapies for the treatment of cardiovascular disease. |
